Kid's Dental Health Report

Good dental care requires regularly scheduled checkup to a dentist, yet, many US children are just not getting there. Dentist costs are high and income do not always accomodate what can appear to be a less important aspect of overall good health. Yet, it is the case that our children need to be able to get to a dentist at least once a year and the parents need to be able to afford getting them there. There is a solution to a rampant problem, today.

Dental Health Checkup For Kids In US Is Sorely Lacking

Did you know that over 1/2 of families with children in the US don't get their kids to a dentist for regular checkups?

A recent reporting and research agency for health care and quality says that, "only about half of all American children between 2 and 17 years old regularly get a dental checkup at least once a year."

It seems that there are a variety of reasons for kid's not getting to the dentist yearly including:

1. Dentists not informing parent so of the need for regular dental health checkups

2. Low to median range income restricts parents from taking their children to the dentist regularly (money issues accounted for 56 percent of the families who could not afford good dental care)

3. General education levels of the parents. Parents with upper grad level education are more likely to be sure that their kids get to the dentist once a year.

Are your kids missing out?
